Blossom Editing’s grammar tip – deciding which nationality you (and your website!) will be.

There are many spelling differences when comparing the American and Canadian language. These include the adding of a “U” (for Canadian spelling) to labour, neighbour, armour, behaviour, endeavour and much more. There is also honour, humour, mould and tumour.

You might decide to have American spelling on your web site, even if you are a Canadian yourself. The important thing is to decide which language you will use, and stick with it. It is never more annoying (especially for a spelling junkie like myself) to see honour in one place and honor in another.
